So what do I bring to class?

This list includes everything you were required to use during pre-training—plus a few extras to help you get the most out of your experience.

🔧 Required Tools + Materials

These are non-negotiable. If you show up without them, your progress will be impacted.

•Your doll head (the one you practiced on consistency matters)

•Tripod (fully functional, adjustable, and secure)

•Hair clips, specifically your double prongs (sectioning clips, duckbill clips, or anything used in training)

•Your YSPark tail comb

•Threader tool

•Hair tie (used for sectioning)

•Luna-approved pliers

•Luna-approved string or thread (Do not swap this out, thread quality affects your stitch and results.)

•Spray bottle with water (light mist, not a garden hose)

•4–6 hand-tied wefts Wefts must be hand-tied, not machine-tied.

*Genius wefts are optional. We cannot guarantee time to work with them during class, but you’re welcome to bring them in addition to your hand-tied wefts.

🛠️ Tool Substitutions

If you bring tools that are not Luna-recommended:

•Be aware: you may struggle with tension, ergonomics, or consistency.

•We cannot troubleshoot tools we haven’t tested.

•That said, accessibility, mobility, or ergonomic needs come first.

If you’ve adapted your tools for physical comfort or accessibility, bring what works for you.

Just know: we can only guarantee optimal results when you use the tools we’ve recommended.

📱 Tech &&& Documentation

•Phone or camera tripod, we encourage documenting your install for both practice review and future marketing content

•Note taking, you can take notes on your phone, an iPad, notebook or not all.

Your trainer may provide a notebook and pen, but it’s not guaranteed.

👟 Comfort &&& Vibe

•Comfy shoes. You’ll be standing and moving.

•Wear what feels most like you. You may be photographed or filmed. If that makes you anxious, don’t stress- we’ll let you know if you’re on camera.

•Snacks & meds – We usually provide snacks, but bring anything you need for blood sugar, allergies, or peace of mind.

•A great attitude & a willingness to be coached
